Hewlett-Packard HP 97 Calculators

Hewlett-Packard Calculators

HP also known as Hewlett-Packard made the famous HP 97 Calculator. According to the Wikipedia "The HP-67 was a magnetic card-programmable handheld calculator, introduced by Hewlett-Packard in 1976 at an MSRP of $450.[1] A desktop version with built-in thermal printer was sold as the HP-97 at a price of $750.[2] Marketed as improved successors to the HP-65, the HP-67/97 were based on the technology of the "20-series" of calculators (HP-25, HP-19C etc.) introduced a year earlier. The two models are functionally equivalent, and programs on magnetic cards can be interchanged between them."

We wanted to add some nice images to the WWW for the enthusiasts out there.

Comparison Shopping For Free Shopping Carts

Comparison Shopping For Free Shopping Carts

Shopping carts online are very common, but if you have never set one up they can seem daunting. There are more choices then you can shake a stick at and that can be the first hurdle you come to. To simplify the matter let's break them down a bit into simple categories. There are hosted or non-hosted carts. Hosted means that the cart provider hosts the carts and does all the technical stuff to make it all go. If you host the cart yourself (un-hosted) then you take on the job of dealing with technical issues or you have to hire someone to deal with them. So why not go with hosted? Your cart is on someone else's domain and so is all your traffic.

Free or paid: there many free solutions out there and a huge amount of paid solutions. Other categories to consider are open source or closed source and simple to full featured. In this article we will be focusing on our favorite carts which are free (un-hosted) open source shopping carts that we will install on our own domain. Even though we narrowed down the field to "free (un-hosted) open source shopping carts that we will install on our own domain" there are still a number of categories to continue to drill down though.

"So what does it all come down to? Wordpress is just more user friendly and more fun to use at this point..."

How To Get A No SIM iPhone 3G Activated With No Risk

iPhone is activated!

The imfamous iPhone. If you have never had one, I bet you have at least heard of them. We received one as a special gift. While it is customary to reset the phone and remove the SIM card by anyone who is passing on their iPhone, what does the recipient do now with a phone, that will not go past the "No Sim Card" screen? If you do a Google search, you will enter a nearly endless world of the iPhone, both real and unreal, past and current. But the answer is simpler that you might think, and you can get your phone going safely and for only about $3. This makes this gift even more exciting.

"This iPhone was a gift and we are feelin' the love..."

The Unknown Dialog Box...

Best Image We Could Find

One of the things we learned back in our MS Windows days (before shifting to Ubuntu) is that if you get a dialog box that pops up that is questionable, you will usually be given some choice:

Yes or No.
Ok or Cancel.
Scan or Stop Scan etc.

"Do not press the button that the dialog box is attempting to force you to press. "

Cleaning High End Camera Filters With A Tooth Pick...

Cleaning a Hoya Circular Polarizer

Lenses and filters always seem so fragile. Yet in trying to clean a Hoya Cir-polarizer we found out that they are really quite tough. Some way some how, a spot of some unknown kind appeared on what we thought was a pristine 67mm filter. We sold the filter on ebay and then discovered the filter had a spot on it as we packed it up to ship. You could only see the spot from one side if you held the filter in just the right light at just the right angle. But still, we could not ship the filter in that condition.

"These filters are tougher than I ever would have imagined. "
